Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology

Course overview​

Designed to prepare individuals for effective ministry, this course equips leaders to share the Gospel with impact and serve in churches, Christian organizations, and workplaces.

Course Details

  • Duration: 24 months

  • Prerequisite: Completion of Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology (11237NAT) or a pastoral endorsement confirming the applicant’s understanding and past ministry involvement.

  • Delivery: 1st year | Online, Self-Directed | 4 Units

                       2nd year | Face-to-face or correspondence | 6 Units

  • Attendance at the class is required.
    If you are unable to attend, you must submit correspondence work in its place. 

  • Compulsory attendance required at CRC Implant and CRC Conferences at an additional cost which is the responsibility of the student.

  • CHCCSM006 Provide case management supervision

       Take a leadership role in the delivery of quality case management 

  • CHCPAS004 Provide pastoral and spiritual care

        Develop ministry priorities

  • CHCPRP007 Work within a clinical supervision framework - Process of clinical supervision

  • CHCMHS001 Work with people with mental health issues - Provide Mentoring Support

Year 2 Units (Face to face)

  • NAT11238001 Apply advanced knowledge of the Bible - Biblical Management Principles

  • NAT11238013 Plan to initiate a new Church - Church Planting and Growth 

  • NAT11238005 Develop and apply knowledge of church, liturgy and sacraments - Special Services, Homiletics and Communication 

  • NAT11238008 Develop self-awareness - STEPPS & Personal Management

  • NAT11237005 Apply Christian ethics to contemporary issues - Missions

  • CMTTHE504 Compare and explain Christian beliefs and practices - Christian Ethics

Audit - $800 Attending class only

Graduate - $1200

Attending class, completing assessments and receiving a participation certificate (not nationally recognised)

Accredited - $1600

Attending class, completing assessment requirements to AQF standard and receiving a nationally recognised Diploma accreditation.

Additional costs

Attendance at additional events throughout the year are compulsory and are an additional cost which the student is responsible for.
